Quakers, also called Friends, practice a religion of experience; a contemporary, simple, and radical faith committed to working for equality, for peace with each other and with nature. Quakers do not share a fixed set of beliefs. Our unity is based on shared understanding and a shared practice of worship, not on our beliefs all being the same. There is no need to be in unity with Quakers on every issue in order to be part of our meetings.
We welcome Friends and Inquirers to join our hour of Worship each Sunday. Arriving by about 10:15 am will give time for a greeting, questions, and to settle into the silence ahead of 10:30. The times in the calendar are a reminder of this practice.
The Meeting for Worship usually lasts about an hour and is closed by an appointed Friend. There is then a brief period of welcomes and announcements, followed by social time. On most Sundays, there are events before or after Meeting for Worship (see calendar below).
The conventions of our Meeting for Worship are the same in both settings, although it is usually not feasible to stand up to give ministry online.
We welcome you to worship with us
We worship at the Meetinghouse, online, and supplemental activities are listed in the calendar (below).
